Take Flight: How Volunteering with The Expert Collective Can Empower You and Your Community

Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back to your community while reaping numerous benefits. It's an opportunity to gain valuable references, knowledge, and skills and connect with a diverse group of people from different industries and backgrounds. Volunteering can also help you build a robust support system and make lifelong friendships.

Volunteering at The Expert Collective allows you to choose an activity that aligns with your beliefs and values, bringing happiness and fulfillment in knowing you're contributing to a great cause. While financial rewards may not be significant, the rewards of assisting people in need and helping high-risk groups, such as youth and newcomers, can be immeasurable.

At The Expert Collective, volunteering is about more than just giving your time and expertise. It's about fully immersing yourself in the organization's culture and values and truly believing in its mission. By establishing strong connections with leaders and communicating effectively, you can gain valuable insights into the company's operations, identify opportunities for growth and advancement, and contribute to the organization's success.

When reflecting on your future volunteering goals, it's essential to consider what you want to achieve and how you can make a meaningful impact. Suppose you're passionate about a particular issue, such as combating stigma and creating a project to reduce mental health stigma.

By pouring from a full cup and giving back to your community, you can achieve your goals and make a lasting difference. So why not join The Expert Collective and start making a positive impact today?

A guide on how to become a volunteer and the requirements.

The registration process starts with filling out the volunteer application form.

The form requires basic information such as your name, email, and school, which helps determine your proximity to the volunteering locations. It also asks for your volunteering interests in different departments such as events and marketing, admin services, tutoring or mentoring, and IT services.

Once you complete the form, the next step is to meet with the department for onboarding and training. Anyone in the department can conduct the onboarding process, and it involves getting to know you and the tasks they have for you.

The third step is training, which can last a week, depending on your schedule. There's also a need to complete professional development training like GBA and FOIP within the first month.

The fourth step is completing a volunteer report at the end of every month to keep track of your volunteer hours. The information is handed to you at the beginning of the month, and you submit it at the end.
